Terms and Conditions

 

1.     Each bidder must be properly registered and have a buyer's number to bid.

2.     Bidding Hours are 24 hours per day. The seller may accept the bid on or before 2:00 PM MDT on Friday of the listing week or the bid and and asking price must meet to constitute a sale. All bids are accepted in good faith during trading hours. Frontier Stockyards Inc. reserves the right to reject any and/or all bid(s), if deemed necessary. The decision of Frontier Stockyards Inc. shall be final and absolute.

3.     By submitting a bid, the bidder is accepting the Terms and Conditions of the Livestock Contract.

4.     All purchases will require a $40.00 per head part payment (unless otherwise stated), due and payable the business day following the purchase. Purchaser will wire transfer or send by overnight delivery service the part payment funds the following business day. Part payment by buyer constitutes acceptance of Terms and Conditions and acceptance of the Livestock Contract.

5.     All cattle will be sold on a sliding scale.THERE WILL BE A TEN-POUND WINDOW ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE BASE WEIGHT. Example:Yearlings with an average base weight of 900# sell for $80.00. The weight can be up to 910# average and the price will remain the same. If they weigh 911# average, with a 5 cent slide, the price will be $79.95; 920# average, with a 5 cent slide, the price will be $79.50; etc.

6.     All cattle will be weighed on certified scales. Any cuts that are made on cattle that are weighed on the ground will be made after the cattle are weighed.

7.     No freight adjustment will be given on cattle that weigh below the estimated base weight, if the head count is within 5% of the contract.

8.     On split loads, the heifer price will be $___per cwt (as stated in the lot information) back of the original price of the steers.

9.    Any heifers that are guaranteed open will be pregnancy checked open at the seller's expense by a licensed veterinarian.

10.     Frontier Stockyards Inc. reserves the right to sign the Livestock Contract on behalf of all buyers and sellers.

11.     Every effort has been made to assure the correctness of the information on frontierstockyards.com, but the decisions of Frontier Stockyards Inc. shall be final and absolute.

Terms And Conditions For Breeding Stock


1.     All cows and first calf heifers will be pregnancy checked safe with calf, unless otherwise stated. They will be pregnancy checked and aged by a licensed veterinarian at the Seller's expense. Cattle will be accompanied by a veterinarian's certificate.

2.     All breeding stock over 24 months of age will have a negative Brucellosis blood test, unless otherwise stated. Bulls will be fertility tested by a licensed veterinarian, within thirty days prior to delivery, unless otherwise stated. All testing for Brucellosis and fertility will be at the Seller's expense.

3.     All breeding stock will be Bangs vaccinated, with a legible tattoo, unless otherwise stated.

4.    Head counts may vary more than 5%, depending on results of palpation, blood tests, fertility test or age determination.

5.     Any other health requirements (other than state of origin) shall be at the Buyer's risk and expense.

6.     All breeding stock will be sold on a sliding scale on the bottom side only. There will be a twenty-pound allowance from the base weight and the slide will be 80 cents on bred heifers and 50 cents on cows.

EXAMPLE: COWS ARE SOLD WITH A BASE WEIGHT OF 1050 POUNDS, SLIDE AT 1030 POUNDS, SALE PRICE IS $750.00. AT DELIVERY, COWS WEIGH 1000 POUNDS, THE PRICE WOULD BE ADJUSTED 30 POUNDS AT 50 CENTS PER POUND, OR $15.00 PER HEAD. THEREFORE, THE ADJUSTED PRICE WOULD BE $735.00 PER HEAD.

7.     The Buyer has the right to provide a veterinarian of his choice at the delivery to pregnancy check and or mouth any breeding stock. If the Buyer chooses not to provide a veterinarian, he accepts the veterinarian's certificate without recourse on the Seller or Frontier Stockyards Inc.
