How do I bid?

You can place a bid by simply clicking on the Bid button that is on the Bidding window Interface.

The biding interface will allow you to participate in a live auction event. You will be able to see live video and hear the auctioneer from the actual auction house.

What do I do to start

Once you click on the live auction button or link you will be taken to a launch page that will lead you through a short software download page. At this time your computer will be tested for connection speed and make sure that you have the necessary components to listen to the auction, i.e working sound card speakers. Once the download begins it will take anywhere from 5 seconds to 45 seconds depending on your Internet connection.

Can I bid while on a dial-up connection?

Although dial-up connection are slower that broadband internet, the system has been designed to work on dial-up. The Live Global bid system will test your connection speed and then will automatically adjust the amount of information to send you. Some dial-up connections will be good enough to receive audio and video while others will only be able to receive audio and no video. In extreme cases where the dial-up line is so bad you may only be able to get the bidding.

Who can bid?

Can I take my bid back?

How much of a delay is there?

The Live Global Bid system has very little delay. Less than half a second in most cases. However, the internet is very unpredictable and with some dial-up connections you may run into some local bandwidth problems. Most of these can be resolved by talking to your Internet Service Provider.
